Knowledge is true belief. Delusion is false belief.
Wisdom is ??? valuation. Folly is ??? valuation.

Metacognition is the process of learning about learning, and predicting ones own predictions. It is cognition about cognition, cognition turned on itself.

Rationality is metacognition directed toward the pursuit of Knowledge and avoidance of Delusion.
Spirituality is metacognition directed toward the pursuit of Wisdom and avoidance of Folly.

Metacognition can be done alone, or one the individual level. It can also be done with others, in dialogue, and thus on a collective level.

Academia is collective rationality.
Religion is collective spirituality.

 The Types of Nihilism We are in a meaning crisis. The spectre of Nihilism looms, casting a shadow over us all.  Nihilism has arisen because of the faults in our collective philosophy. True Nihilism neither prescribes nor proscribes any action or non-action either way. If one were truly a Nihilist, and we were to say that true Nihilism suggests that there is no reason to act on any value, even one's impulse to scratch an itch or eat food, it would still require some kind of motivation to hold fast in being a consistent Nihilist; it would require some motivation - which would exist for some reason - to resist these impulses.  The 4 Ways of Knowing Episteme Episteme (ep-IST-em-ay) is what we currently conceive to be the point and activity of the psyche. It is the retention of propositions, of facts, and of memories . This kind of knowing is knowing that something is the case. This knowledge is directly bound with language and the capacity to explain , and this has a lot to with why it has come to have a total monopoly over our account of knowledge.
